These Pistons are not a “TOSS IN, BOLT ON PISTON”. Do not attempt to install these without proper machine work to the block and verification to piston to valve clearances. There are a lot of variables that come into play when building an engine. Even though these pistons are made to fit your application, we can not know whats been done to the rest of the block/heads over the potential 20+ years of some. It is up to you and your machine shop to verify clearances and adjust accordingly.
GET IT BALANCED – The rotating assembly MUST be balanced for the pistons and rods. Skipping this step will lead to a VERY short lifespan for your engine.
ALL PISTON KITS – Verify Piston to valve clearances and block condition & limitations prior to ordering. If you dont know how, ask your local engine builder / machine shop, they will know what needs to be checked
11:1 Pistons – Your machine shop will need to do the math and verify piston to valve/head clearance. You need to verify PISTON to HEAD/valve clearance and insure you have the proper clearances. Selecting the proper head gasket thickness will be key
