This part is needed when converting a PRE-2008 4.7L to the 2008 Intake manifold.If you are stepping up to the 2008 Intake manifold (+25HP bolt on) and your current 2004-2007 4.7L has an EGR, you will need this EGR to work with the 2008+ intake manifold.

We do NOT recommend deleting the EGR from the system as there is little to no gains and the headaches associated would be more than its worth. Combined the gains of removing the CATS & EGR are worth approximately 4-5HP. The Juice is just not worth the squeeze. Leave the EGR and CATs in place, get a custom tune and enjoy the vehicle!
