AIR RAM PERFORMANCE brings you the ONLY 4.7L aftermarket forged pistons available ANYWHERE!  Drawing on nearly 30 years of piston design and manufacturing for all forms of motor sports, ROSS Racing Pistons has met the continual need for the most advanced forged pistons in the racing industry. Your stock pistons and factory rods are a weak link and are bad choice for a performance build. Our ROSS pistons teamed up with our SCAT rods will allow you to push the limits of your 4.7L engine.
Your Stock Pistons only have 1/8 of an inch between the piston top and the top ring. This is VERY bad if you want to run Boost or any decent amount of Nitrous “SAFELY” without worrying about overheating and seizing the top ring. So if you plan to run the engine hard @ WOT often or add any form of power adder, such as a supercharger, turbo or nitrous oxide, you should consider our ROSS Pistons & Scat Rods for your build.

Due to its popularity, we have narrowed down our “BEST DEAL” Ross pistons to +.040 @10:1cr. These will be our “BEST PRICE” piston as we purchase these in bulk. With that said, anything other than +.040 @10:1cr will be considered a “CUSTOM” piston and will have additional cost. Our Ross Piston kits include pistons, wrist pins and rings. This piston kit comes with everything you need as far as pistons go. See our SCAT RODS that are machined fitted to your 4.7L Crankshaft!!!

IMPORTANT NOTE: These ROSS PISTONS are made to be used with our AIR RAM PERFORMANCE SCAT RODS! These pistons will NOT work with the factory RODS.

These Pistons are not a “TOSS IN, BOLT ON PISTON”.  Do not attempt to install these without proper machine work to the block and verification to piston to valve clearances.  There are a lot of variables that come into play when building an engine. Even though these pistons are made to fit your application, we can not know whats been done to the rest of the block/heads over the potential 20+ years of some. It is up to you and your machine shop to verify clearances and adjust accordingly.

GET IT BALANCED – The rotating assembly MUST be balanced for the pistons and rods. Skipping this step will lead to a VERY short lifespan for your engine.

ALL PISTON KITS – Verify Piston to valve clearances and block condition & limitations prior to ordering. If you dont know how, ask your local engine builder / machine shop, they will know what needs to be checked

11:1 Pistons – Your machine shop will need to do the math and verify piston to valve/head clearance. You need to verify PISTON to HEAD/valve clearance and insure you have the proper clearances. Selecting the proper head gasket thickness will be key

Custom pistons are not returnable for refund or credit regardless of circumstances, unless the customer submitted a written purchase order and pistons do not meet the requirements of the written purchase order. Do not attempt to install ROSS Racing Pistons before reading the instructions. ROSS Racing Pistons reserves the right to make changes in design, materials and specifications, or to make product changes without incurring liability or obligation with respect to similar products previously manufactured.
