Scat Pro Sport H-Beam Connecting Rods
Scat H-beam connecting rods are the strongest Scat connecting rods available by Scat. These Scat H-beam connecting rods are perfect for supercharged and nitrous applications. These rods incorporate a special doweled cap for specific cap-to-rod alignment and are profiled with extra clearance for stroker applications. Forged 4340 material with ARP 7/16 8740 rod bolts make them very strong and affordable. SCAT rates these H-Beam rods with ARP 8740 Bolts are rated to 750 horsepower on small blocks and 850 on big blocks, ARP 2000 bolt upgrade brings the rating up to 1000 horsepower on small blocks, and 1200 on big blocks. SCAT is very conservative in their ratings.
Also keep in mind your rotational weights @ RPM have more of an effect on the rod serviceability than HP alone. Aim for a light weight pistons and as light weight of a rotating assembly as possible and aim make power as low as possible in the RPM range and your ROD’s will handle more more power than the above ratings. Our Ross .040 over bore 10:1cr pistons weigh in at approximately 401.4 grams…. These rods where intended for LARGER heavier pistons. This alone increases their HP rating considerably.
These are recommended for all out 4.7L Performance builds when 20+lbs boost is planned to be used. To be used with our AIR RAM PERFORMANCE 4.7L ROSS Pistons.

Note: Unlike our SCAT I-Beam rods, which we try to keep on the shelf ready to ship, these SCAT H-Beam Rods are NOT in stock. These are “made to order” and can take up to 4-8 weeks depending on SCAT manufacture availability and work load at the machine shop. In the current economy with devastated supply chain issues, we have zero control over SCAT manufacturing time frames and machine shop work loads. Your rods will be ordered and machined on a first come first served basis with all else considered.
